Game this Sunday

Based upon previous responses, we are scheduled to play our RotRL game on Sunday, December 11th starting at 3:00 at Bruce's house.

I heard a positive response from Bruce, Matt H, Dan, Matt F and Brian. I do not believe that I ever heard definatively from Joe, Brad or Randy. Five players is enough to play.

We will be picking up where we left off. You are in the library under Jorgundfist. I sent out information previously but have attached links to it for your reference.

Your characters should now be 12th level.

After the end of last session, I assumed that your characters are 1) researching topics in the library, 2) teleporting to Magnimar to sell loot and buy things and 3) returning to Sandpoint to report on the success of your mission. I did not receive much feedback so that is what I am going with.

Possible RotRL dates for December

With the holidays fast approaching, the calendar is getting full. It appears that I only have two possible dates that look like they will work. Friday, 12/9/11 and Sunday, 12/11/11. A Friday session would be short, starting at around 7:00. Sunday, we could play longer, starting at around 3:00 and playing until say 10:00.

If we cannot make one of these dates work, it is unlikely that we will get together before the end of the year.

Please post here to express your thoughts. I need 5 players to play RotRL. If we get interest but not enough players for that we can always play some PFS.

we finished another arc..LOOT time

Aside from the items we passed out Sunday, there is a lot of cash to split up. And may be more, I have to talk to Randy about the club.. No, not the hair club..

Brian, Bruce, Matt, Matty, Dan, Joe, and Randy each (hella yeah, each!) get 18,710gp, 2sp, and 3cp

Jasmine and Brad split that and get 9,355gp, 1sp, and 2cp each

More GM prodding - November game

We are currently scheduled to play our November session of Rise of the Runelords on Saturday the 12th. We are planning to start at 2:00. We will eat first and then game. Your characters are still 11th but should be 12th by the end of the night.

We currently have 5 confirmed players/diners and 1 GM/diner:

Keith
Bruce
Matt H
Matt F
Brian
Joe

We have one confirmed absence:

Dan (Going on a road trip)

We have two unconfirmed:

Brad (Sounds like he has plans)
Randy (Have not heard a peep from)

We are planning to eat like kings but that will require that folks bring food. So far I have heard the following:

Keith - In addition to providing the entertainment, I will bring cheesey corn bread and cheese potatoes.

Matt F - Homemade apple pies
Brian - Homemade beer

If we do not want to screw with making a turkey, I suggest that I could pick up some rotisserie chickens from Sam's Club on my way over to Bruce's. I think that 3 would do us. They are $4.99 each. If everyone thros in a few bucks I think we should be good. We can also use a salad, maybe some vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes if folks want, gravy, etc..

We have 10 days until the game, let's get our plan finalized soon.

Next Game - 11/12/11

Our next session is planned for Saturday, 11/12/11. I have communicated with most of you and it appears that we have at least the 5 player minimum to proceed. We will be gaming and we will be feasting.

Your characters are currently 11th level. We hopefully will finish the current volume of the Adventure Path this session. There are 5 encounters left in the lower levels, a handful of encounters that were skipped that you may wish to revisit and the dragon's lair still needs to be looted. When this volume of the AP is completed you will be 12th level. (I expect leveled up characters will be required for the next time we play after this session.)

As usual, the game will be at Bruce's. I was thinking that we would try to get things started around 2:00. It probably works out best if we eat first and game after we are done but we could always go for the game/eat/game format instead. Partially this depends on the menu and preparation/oven time.

We need to talk menu. So far this is what I have heard:

I was planning to bring the yummy, cheesy corn bread.
Matt F voulunteered apple pie.
Brian was planning to make beer.

I expect we need a main dish (turkey) and some more sides (potatoes, veggies, gravy, etc.).

Please post your thoughts on the blog so that all may see.

Still looking for feedback

We still need to settle on a date. I have only heard from Brad and Joe so far.

The weekend of 9/9-9/11 is now off the table. I plans on 9/9 and have scheduled my Sunday game for 9/11.

The weekend of 9/16-9/18 is still looking good. Looks like both Brad and Joe are good for Friday or Saturday. Randy will be out because of Ren Fest. I need at least 3 more positive responses to schedule the date. I also need to hear from Bruce as to which days will fit with his work schedule.

Joe is a no-go for 9/30.

Need to pick a September date

We need to determine the next date we will get together.

I appear to be free the weekends of 9/9-9/11 and 9/16-9/18. Friday 9/30 will also work.

With Bruce currently working on the weekends, a Friday night may be the best choice. I am also trying to schedule my Sunday game some time in September. I am shooting for 9/18. If that happens, I would prefer not to do 9/16.

We should also plan for October. I know that the weekend of 10/21-23 will work the best as the wife will be away. Other dates could also work but I will definitely be looking for things to do that weekend and a game seems perfect.

I expect that it is likely that you will complete the current volume of the adventure by the end of our next session. If not then, the session after that for sure. When that happens, you will level up to 12th. You may want to start thinking about what you want to do.

August date?

I am looking to schedule a session of our Rise of the Runelords campaign. The only real free day I have in August is Sunday, August 21st. Can at least five folks make that day work?

I was thinking 3:00 to 10:00 or 11:00.

If Sunday does not work, I might be able to make Friday, August 19th work. That would be 7:00-12:00. Sunday is my preference but if Friday is the only day that can work we will go with that. If neither works we are looking at sometime in September.

No Game this Month

Due to lack of participation (and Gen Con looming), there will not be a Saturday Game session this month.

Possible next session

It looks like my schedule has opened for Saturday, July 30th. Do we have enough players available to run our game?

Please respond to the blog post so that everyone can see.

Next game session?

It has been a while since I asked and my work schedule keeps shifting but I was wondering about the availability of folks to play our "Saturday" game on either Friday 6/24 or Sunday 6/26?

Either date should work for me at this point. If I can get at least 5 players, I will run. I would like to avaoid going 2 months without a game. You are getting close, in a relative sense, to finishing the current adventure. I figure it will take about two more sessions.

Our next session (Repost)

Based upon schedules, May has been written off. We will not have a Rise of the Runelords game this month.

June does not have a promising outlook either. All of my Saturdays right now are shot. I have to commit the full weekends of 6/3-6/5 and 6/17-6/19 to work (These are subject to change but they are the current project deployment weekends.) 6/10 and 6/11 is taken up by my cousin's wedding. 6/25 I have commited to a night out with my wife.

What that leaves me with is Sunday 6/12, Friday 6/24 or Sunday 6/26. Of those, Sunday 6/26 would be my preference. I am thinking of something like a 3:00 start running until 10:00 or 11:00.

I might also be game for a weeknight game on like a Wednesday or a Thursday. By nature of time, this would only be a short session something like 7:00-11:00.

What works for the rest of you?

See you Saturday.

Game this Saturday

We are scheduled to play our Rise of the Runelords game this coming Saturday. I plan to start at 5:00 PM.

Please make sure that you have an 11th level copy of your character. You will level during the session. Having your characters ready when this occurs, makes it so we will not have to waste too much time in the level-up transition.

Plan on making food arrangements ahead of the game that way we do not have to stop in the middle.

See you Saturday.

Doing XP Math

I have been doing some XP math and it seems likely that you will reach 11th level during our next session. Please try to bring an 11th level copy of your character with you so that when it occurs, we will not have to waste too much time in the level-up transition.

Next game is scheduled for Saturday, 2/19/11. I believe that we have enough requests that we will plan to start around 3:00. Randy has to work and will not be able to make it until around 7:00 ish. I plan to start and run for a few hours and then take a break for food. If we time it right we should be able to start up again once Randy arrives.

Matt F will not be there as he will be in Vegas. I need a copy (two copies now) of his character if the expectation is that I will run her as an NPC.

Next Session will be 2/19/11

Our next Rise of the Runelords game session will be on Saturday, 2/19/11. Plan to start at 5:00 and run through about 12:00.

7 out of 8 of you said that this date would work at our last session. Matt F is the only one not able to attend. I will play his character if needed (assuming he send me a copy).

New Ultimate Combat Playtest has begun

A new Pathfinder playtest has started. It has 3 alternate classes from the Ultimate Combat book due out in August. The classes include Gunslinger, Ninja and Samurai. These are alternate classes for two core classes and a base class. Gunslinger is an alternate fighter. Ninja is an alternate rogue. Samurai is an alternate cavalier. If you take levels in the original class you may not take levels in the alternate class and vice versa. I would note them as Fighter (Gunslinger), Rogue (Ninja) and Calvelier (Samurai). These seem very similar to archetypes but appear to be more comprehensive.

The playtest PDF can be found at: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/v5748btpy8igw

I have also added a link to the new content on my D&D/Pathfinder page: https://sites.google.com/site/zombiehomepage/Home/zombie-s-d-d-pathfinder-page

The new playtest classes are now legal for PFS games.

Complete listing of what is legal for play can be found at: http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/resources.

Reminder: Game this Saturday

Word has it that we will have a full house this session.

Since I have not heard enough positive responses to start earlier, we will plan to begin at our normal start time of 5:00 PM. I will try to get there a bit early so that I am ready for us to start on time.

See you at Bruce's.

Date Set for January game

We will next be playing our Saturday Rise of the Runelords campaign on Saturday, 1/22/11.

So far I have heard a positive response from Bruce, Matt H, Brad, Joe and Randy. That is five for sure. I assume Dan will be coming with Matt H but I would not bet the farm on it. Have not heard from Matt F or from Brian as of yet.

What time would you like to start? I threw out our normal 5:00 start time but it has been suggested that we should start earlier. I can commit to starting as early as 2:00 or 3:00 if that works for everyone else. That should give me plenty of time to go to the gym and have lunch with my wife. If earlier does not work, we can stick to the 5:00 start.

Need to determine when we can play next

We need to decide on a January date for our next session.

What dates work or do not work for folks?

I could do this coming weekend, Saturday or Sunday, if it works for the rest of you. I know it is short notice but it is a date I can commit to now.

The weekend of 1/14-1/16 is out. Sarah and I are babysitting the niece and nephew that Saturday night and we have Sunday gaming that weekend.
For the last two weekends I am still up in the air as Danny is planning to come home for his birthday. His birthday is 1/30 but I am not sure when he can manage to come home. One of the weekends should work but I cannot say which at the moment. I should know more in a few days.

While we are planning what does February look like? I was thinking a game on one of the last two weekends.
